Children's Ministry

Southtown Baptist Church offers a wide selection of Children's Programs:

Children's Sunday School is from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. We have classes for children from birth - 6th graders. Our Sunday School teachers have loving hearts and enjoy sharing the good news of Christ with the children.

Extended Teaching Care is a service we offer for parents during our Classic and Contemporary services. Parents can leave children in a safe environment to participate in multiple activities while parents attend our services. This is open to children from birth - 3 years old.

Open to children in grades 1-6,
no audition required

Preschool Choir:
Wednesdays, 6:00 - 6:45 pm
Open to children ages 4, 5, & kindergarten,
no audition required.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an event Southtown Baptist offers in the summer for children 3 years old - 6th graders. Check out the activities that occurred during our 2010 Saddle Ridge Ranch VBS.


We are currently planning for our 2011 VBS called Big Apple Adventure. Stay tuned for more details.

AWANA is our most popular children's program. We have three clubs: Cubbies for 3 years old through kindergarten; Sparks 1st - 3rd graders; and T & Ters (Truth and Training) 4th - 6th graders. Each club includes game time, group time, and individual study/work time. Each child can earn prizes, awards, and badges as they progress through the program. AWANA occurs on Wednesday Nights during the school year from 6:45 -8:00 pm.

Background checks are preformed on all volunteers who work with our children.
