I love to daily read what took place during Easter week in Jesus' life...
Sunday's humble entrance of the King of Kings on a broken down VW bug type vehicle (donkey). The stars, leaders and presidents of today come in the best limos and planes money can buy.
Monday's challenge to the fig tree and to the people selling animal sacrifices in church signifying Jesus is bringing a new way of salvation.
Tuesday's strong confrontational teachings after teachings after teaching ending with a beautiful anointing.
Which brings us Wednesday; the Trader's day.
Luke 22:1-6 (NLT) "The Festival of Unleavened Bread, which is also called Passover, was approaching. The leading priests and teachers of religious law were plotting how to kill Jesus, but they were afraid of the people’s reaction.
Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples, and he went to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard to discuss the best way to betray Jesus to them. They were delighted, and they promised to give him money. So he agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus so they could arrest him when the crowds weren’t around."
This is so hard for me to accept that one of Jesus' best friends somehow teamed up with the enemy to turn on Him. Are we, Jesus' followers, also capable of something like this? What kind of power can grab us like this? What kind of power can keep others away from Jesus?
Check out this video and let's be reminded of the invisible battle that is going on all the time.
This is so powerful, because I experience this every day and I see everyone experience this every day as well, but we most often do not recognize it.
I love you all. May God have victory in our lives by the power of Easter. See you at the movie Most, Good Friday and Easter Sunday as we Bump into Jesus.
Pastor Chris Reinertson enjoys all sports, especially those involving a ball. He loves to hang out with people and challenge them to be Jesus REVolutionizers.
